WEB & DIGITAL CONTENT PRODUCTION INTERN

Are you a creative, technically minded college or university student who enjoys building things for the web and creating digital content?

We’re looking for a Web & Digital Content Production Intern for a paid student placement through Venture for Canada’s Student Work Placement Program.

Please note: VFC funding eligibility requires Canadian citizenship, permanent residency or refugee status.

You’ll work with our team on new digital marketing initiatives, including the development and launch of a new consumer-facing website hub. You’ll also contribute to video, photography, graphic design and digital content projects across a variety of edana client programs.

This is a hands-on opportunity to work directly with our senior marketing team, contribute ideas and gain real-world experience taking projects from concept through production and launch.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

The right candidate will:

  • Be creative, curious and technically comfortable.
  • Have an interest in website development and digital content creation.
  • Have experience or a strong interest in video production and editing.
  • Have graphic design skills and good visual judgement.
  • Enjoy experimenting with new technology, platforms and creative tools.
  • Be able to take direction while also contributing ideas and solutions.
  • Have strong attention to detail and be comfortable managing multiple pieces of a project.
  • Work well both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Helping build, populate and maintain a new consumer-facing website hub.
  • Creating web pages and integrating written content, photography, video and other digital assets.
  • Shooting and editing video for websites, social media, YouTube and digital campaigns.
  • Creating graphics and adapting creative assets for different platforms and formats.
  • Assisting with photography, video and other content-production days.
  • Creating thumbnails, captions, web graphics and other supporting digital assets.
  • Testing new digital tools, technologies and content formats.
  • Contributing ideas to improve digital experiences and how content is presented.
  • Working across multiple edana client projects and new digital initiatives.

  • Be currently enrolled in an eligible Canadian post-secondary program.
  • Be interested in learning and developing your skills through hands-on work.
  • Be reliable and able to meet project deadlines.
  • Communicate effectively with team members.
  • Be comfortable receiving feedback and revising your work.
  • Take ownership of assigned projects and ask questions when you need direction.
  • Be willing to learn about different clients, audiences and industries.
  • Meet the eligibility requirements of the Venture for Canada Student Work Placement Program.

ADDITIONAL ASSETS

We’d especially like to hear from you if you have experience with any of the following:

  • WordPress, Divi or other website platforms.
  • Video production and editing.
  • Graphic design and digital content creation.
  • Photography or videography.
  • Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva or similar creative tools.
  • Web development, coding or other technical skills.
  • Social and digital media platforms.
  • Analytics or digital measurement.
  • Proficiency in a language in addition to English, particularly languages relevant to the diverse communities reached through our client programs.

Students studying IT, computer science, digital media, interactive media, web development/design, graphic design, communications, marketing, film/video production or related programs are encouraged to apply.
